General Questions

Come as you are – no questions asked.

Our current hours of operation will always be on our website, but you are also welcome to call. Our current hours of operation are 5-10pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 5-11pm Thursday and Friday, 12-11pm Saturday, and 12-9pm on Sunday. Last seating for guests is 30 minutes before closing. We hope to open for Lunch and Mondays soon.

Absolutely! We can accommodate most any situation. We have tables inside and outside that can accommodate wheelchairs or any other piece of handicap equipment. When making a reservation, just let us know your needs and we will be ready when you arrive!

YES! There are downtown parking meter spots along Biltmore Avenue. PLEASE NOTE: The parking directly behind the restaurant and beside us at the Orange Peel are not available. There is also a parking garage for pay as you park: from Biltmore Avenue, you turn onto Hillard Avenue beside us then take your first right onto South Lexington you will see the parking garage approximately 500 ft on your right. You can also find street parking across Biltmore Avenue from us along South Market Street.
Unfortunately, we do not allow smoking of any kind inside or outside in the dining areas. This is to provide a relaxing environment for all of our guests. You can, of course, smoke on the street area and make new friends.
Yes, we are a dog friendly restaurant in downtown Asheville! We have outdoor patio seating available for you and your pup, but please note that outdoor seating is based on availability. Four-legged people need service too! We will provide water and treats with your permission to your furry friend. Service Animals are allowed inside the restaurant.

Dining Questions

YES! The best way is to call us directly at 828.470.7480. We are able to take reservations up to 30 days in advance. You can also make a reservation online by visiting or using the link in our Instagram bio.

Yes, we have vegan and gluten-free options, as well as options that accommodate both! We have a variety of dishes in order to best serve everyone. If you are making a reservation in advance, just let us know so we can note it on your table. Our servers are extremely knowledgeable and able to guide you to the best options on the menu. Whilst some items are ready to rock, others can have a simple modification.

Although our website and pricing can vary a little, we do have a downloadable menu on our website. Just visit and check us out.
We do not have a children’s menu, but we do have items on the menu that our team can advise you for the little ones. We do have highchairs and coloring sheets with crayons to keep them busy!
Absolutely! We welcome you to bring a cake when celebrating a special event. We can even hold it for you in one of our coolers. Please note however, it will be a $5 per person charge.
As long as it is not on our wine list, you can bring your own wine. We allow up to a 750 ml bottle. There would be a $25 corkage fee. There may be a maximum depending on the group size.

Not at the moment. We want to focus our energy on making everything perfect in the restaurant before we commit to feeding others. We have an outdoor to-go window coming soon, offering a separate Japanese + bbq menu for take-out and patio self seating.

Large Party Questions

You can connect with us via the “Group Events” tab on our website, and we’ll be in touch to confirm availability for your preferred date. From there, our team will provide date-specific menu and pricing details. To confirm your booking, simply sign our event policies agreement and provide a 50% deposit toward your minimum. Your booking will be confirmed once we have received your deposit and the large party agreement is signed.

We host all types of gatherings, including rehearsal dinners, business meetings, showers, brunches, luncheons, birthdays, bachelor and bachelorettes, retirements, anniversaries, and weddings.

We can comfortably seat up to 36 guests. Please keep in mind the North Dining Room’s seating is comprised of long tables, booths, and smaller tables that can be pulled together. As long as your group is flexible with seating it is a perfect room to host a variety of events. We are happy to provide a floorplan or walk through prior to your booking.
The room is located within Ukiah’s main dining space but can easily be separated from the main dining area. Your guests will share the bathrooms and will enter through the main restaurant. Hours the room is available varies by day.
We provide everything you need for an effortless event, including chairs, tables, flatware, plateware, napkins, and glassware.
You may, however, please keep in mind that we serve family style/ small plates so tables can get a bit crowded once the food starts to arrive. centrally located florals will need to be removed before the dining experience, as everything is served to the center of the table. We ask that you do not use confetti.
Private events at Ukiah feature a set, Chef curated 8-10 dish menu.
Yes, we can accommodate most food allergies and restrictions. Please check with your event planner for specific details.
We have a carefully curated wine selection, along with craft cocktails, local/foreign beers, and non-alcoholic beverages . We can create the perfect bar package for your specific event.
In lieu of charging a rental fee we request you meet a food & beverage minimum. This varies by date and time. Our standard event menus start at $45-85 per person, depending on the day. This does not include beverages, sales tax (7%) and service charge (20%). The final bill will be presented as one check at the close of your event. Tax and gratuity do not count towards the minimum.
We do not have a specific kid’s menu but can recommend a la carte items for kids under the age of 12.
While we don’t have dedicated on-site parking, we are surrounded by several paid parking lots. There is also limited street parking. Visit for parking garage availability. Please let your guests know that Passport Parking and Park Mobile Apps are used for payment.
The North Dining Room is tied into the main sound system. Microphones are also not permitted. Ukiah does not provide AV equipment.
For a full refund, please cancel your event two weeks in advance. Refunds of the deposit can take up to 2 weeks. For a postponement, please postpone two weeks prior to original event date and we will move your deposit to the new postponement date.
